Consistent, Holistic & Valuable Documentation

Description:

Documenting staff interaction with students one of the most important aspects of supporting students.  It provides yourself and others a detailed record of the what was shared during the interaction that can inform future meetings.  Being holistic and consistent in documenting these meetings in important to overall value of student support.  In this session, staff will discuss what needs to be documented, how & where to document, and who may view meeting documentation.  The intended audience for this session is for newer staff and seasoned staff who may want to be refreshed in documentation best practices and expectations.

Description:

This session will explore practical methods to support students in achieving their goals by addressing the full spectrum of their experiences and how they overlap with common academic success strategies. I’ll discuss the different ways I go beyond surface level advice such as “Just go to class.” or “Try using a day planner.”, and explain my top strategies to help students create an environment in which they can succeed.

Advisor's Guide to Military Programs at CSU

Description:

Join us for an informative session designed specifically for CSU academic advisors to deepen their understanding of ROTC and AFROTC programs. This session will cover the overall structure of the programs, the student/advisor/ROTC partnership, and the expectations and requirements for students. Advisors will gain insights into the associated scholarships and opportunities available at CSU. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment to address any questions and foster a collaborative discussion on improving our partnership.
