Tutoring Support at CSU

You may may want to seek out tutoring for any number of reasons: being new to campus, striving to earn A's and B's, enrolled in a challenging course, falling behind with your assignments, or having difficulty understanding the course material are some of the most common. Here are some suggestions.

PACe Program Pre-Calculus mathematics is taught through an innovative instructional program that uses guided exploration and a mastery approach to learning. Instructional resources are provided in an online format, and students are encouraged to interact with instructors and tutors in our walk-in Tutoring Center. Although much of the coursework can be completed remotely, students are required to complete proctored exams on campus.

The Campus Writing Center The Writing Center offers a free, confidential service, with no appointment necessary, to all writers within the CSU and Fort Collins community. Each session typically lasts about 30 minutes.

Eagle Feather Tutoring Program is a free service—available either on a walk-in or an appointment basis—provided by the Native American Cultural Center (NACC). You may schedule an appointment by directly contacting any of the individual tutors listed on the tutoring list available on the NACC website.

Science and Mathematics Tutorial Hall A function of the Undergraduate Retention Programs, the Science and Mathematics Tutorial Hall provides a welcoming environment for students to increase understanding of math and science. Free tutoring for 30 courses. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 – 10:00 pm.

Intensive English Program 101 The mission of the Intensive English Program (IEP) at Colorado State University is both to provide a quality language training program to help international students make rapid progress toward their academic, professional, and personal language goals.

College of Engineering The Engineering College provides free drop-in tutoring Mondays through Thursdays during the fall and spring semesters. Tutoring hours are from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the Allison Hall Tutoring Room located off the main lobby. Feel free to drop in; you are not required to sign up ahead of time!
